You're avoiding your bank account because every time you look at it, you feel ashamed.

You know you should have this figured out by now. You've tried budgeting. You've read the articles. You know what you're "supposed" to do.

But knowing what to do and actually being able to do it? Those are two completely different things.

Maybe you're carrying debt you can't seem to get ahead of. Or you're spending more than you mean to, and you're not even sure where it's all going. Maybe you've deferred money decisions to your partner for so long that you don't even know where to start taking control.

Whatever your situation, one thing is true: you're tired of feeling this way.

You're tired of the shame. The anxiety. The avoidance. The feeling that money is something that happens TO you instead of something you control.

Here's what I want you to know: You're not broken. You don't need to be fixed. You just need a system that actually works for your life—and someone calm and judgment-free to help you build it.

What if you could finally feel confident about your money?

Imagine…

  • Logging into your bank account without that pit in your stomach

  • Knowing exactly where your money goes—and feeling good about how you spend it

  • Making decisions about your finances with confidence instead of fear

That's what financial coaching can help you do.

And it starts with one free 20-minute call.

"My relationship with money went from feeling out of my control to feeling empowered and excited about getting to decide how to save and spend my money. I gained information and autonomy."

If you've tried to budget and it didn't stick, that's not because you're bad with money.

If you know what you "should" do but can't seem to do it, that's not a character flaw.

If you feel like everyone else has this figured out except you, I promise: they don't.

Here's the truth: Personal finance advice is designed to make you feel like managing money should be simple. "Just spend less than you earn!" "Just make a budget!" "Just stop buying lattes!"

You're Not Broken—The System Is

  • Nobody ever taught you how to actually manage day-to-day finances

  • Money is deeply emotional—tied to your childhood, your relationships, your self-worth

  • Generic budgets don't work because your life isn't generic

  • You're exhausted, overwhelmed, and trying to figure this out on your own

You don't need more willpower. You need a system that works for YOUR life. And you need someone who won't make you feel worse about where you are right now.

That's where financial coaching comes in.

But that advice completely ignores the real reasons people struggle with money:

What Is Financial Coaching?

You've probably heard of financial advisors. They help you invest money you already have—planning for retirement, managing your portfolio, talking about stocks and bonds.

That's not what I do.

As a financial coach, I help you with the everyday money stuff that nobody teaches you:

  • Understanding where your money actually goes (and why)

  • Creating a system for managing your money that doesn't require perfect discipline

  • Getting out of debt without deprivation

  • Building the confidence to make financial decisions on your own

  • Dealing with the shame, anxiety, and avoidance that comes up around money

Think of it this way: A financial advisor helps you grow the money you have. A financial coach helps you get control of your money in the first place.

(And How Is It Different?)

My Approach Is Different

Financial coach Annie Hanson of Mindfully Money

Hi, I’m Annie!

I'm an Accredited Financial Counselor, which means I have professional training in budgeting, debt management, and financial planning. But unlike traditional financial advice, I don't just give you information and send you on your way.

Here's what makes my approach different:

I use a gentle, shame-free approach. Money is already stressful enough. I'm not here to make you feel worse about your past decisions or judge how you spend your money. I'm here to help you understand what's happening and build a path forward.

I guide you through implementation, not just information. You can find budgeting advice anywhere on the internet. What you can't find is someone who will walk you through actually DOING it in your real, messy life—and support you when challenges come up.

I help you understand the emotional side of money. Your money habits didn't develop in a vacuum. We'll explore your relationship with money, where your patterns come from, and how to build self-compassion while you're making changes.

I create systems that make managing money easier. You don't need more willpower. You need systems that work for how your brain actually works.

How Financial Coaching Works

Weeks 1-2: CLARITY

We start by getting a clear picture of what's actually happening with your money. I'll do a complete analysis of your finances and show you where your money is going in a way that finally makes sense.

We'll also explore your money story—how you learned about money, what patterns you've inherited, and why you might be struggling. This is where we start building self-compassion instead of shame.

Weeks 7-8: CONFIDENCE

By now, you've been using your new system and building momentum. In these final weeks, we fine-tune everything, address any remaining concerns, and create your maintenance plan.

You'll leave with the confidence and skills to keep managing your money on your own—plus you'll know I'm here if you need support down the road.

Weeks 3-6: BUILD YOUR SYSTEM

This is where the transformation happens. I'll teach you my two-checking-account system that makes money management simple. You'll always know how much you have for bills, how much you're saving, and how much you can spend—without guilt.

We'll work together to implement this system in your real life, troubleshooting challenges as they come up. You're not doing this alone.

What's Included

When you enroll in the 8-Week Money Clarity & Confidence Program, here's what you get:

8 weekly 1-hour coaching sessions via Zoom (sessions are recorded for your reference)

Complete financial analysis showing you exactly where your money goes and what patterns are showing up

Personalized money management system including my two-checking-account method, customized for your life

Money tracking tools including spreadsheets and guides that make managing your finances simple

Email support throughout the program and for 30 days after we finish (quick questions, troubleshooting, encouragement when you need it)

A maintenance plan so you know exactly how to keep going after our 8 weeks together

  • It’s designed for women who feel overwhelmed, ashamed, or discouraged by money — not people who already have it all figured out.

  • It blends practical money systems with emotional support, so you’re not white-knuckling through a strict plan.

  • It’s completely personalized based on your real spending, habits, and goals — no generic worksheets or rigid budgets.

  • You get weekly financial accountability and compassion, which is often the missing piece in finally feeling in control.

Why This Program Works (When Nothing Else Has)

Investment in Your Financial Future: $1,497

I know that investing in a financial coaching program when you're already struggling with money feels scary.

But here's what I want you to consider: Right now, not having clarity about your money is costing you.

It's costing you in late fees and overdraft charges. In interest on debt you're not sure how to tackle. In money leaking out in ways you can't even see because you're avoiding looking.

It's also costing you in stress, shame, and the emotional weight of feeling out of control.

The question isn't "Can I afford coaching?" The question is "Can I afford to keep feeling this way?"

The women I work with typically tell me that the value they get far exceeds what they invest—because finally feeling confident and in control of their money? That's priceless.

 Financial Coaching Services FAQs

  • Yes. Most clients start with little financial knowledge, or feel like they “should know more by now.” You don’t need anything figured out — we start exactly where you are.

  • Absolutely. Most clients come to me feeling ashamed, overwhelmed, or scared to even look at their accounts. This program is designed specifically for women who have been avoiding their finances and want compassionate support — not judgment. You don’t need to “clean things up” before starting.

  • Budgeting apps often feel rigid, overwhelming, or too disconnected from real life. This program is completely personalized and combines your actual spending patterns with human support, guidance, and compassion. We build a flexible, sustainable system that matches your values and lifestyle — not a one-size-fits-all template.

  • No. The goal isn’t to restrict you — it’s to help you understand your money, make intentional choices, and feel confident. We build a system that fits your life and is flexible enough to stick with long-term.

As your coach, I will never tell you what to do or what not to buy. I'll help you evaluate your options and think through possible outcomes of your decisions, but ultimately, you're in charge of what you do with your money.

  • I understand this concern—it feels counterintuitive to spend money on financial help when you're already struggling.

Here's what I encourage you to consider: coaching is an investment that typically pays for itself. My clients often find hundreds of dollars they didn't know they were spending, reduce their debt faster, and avoid costly mistakes.

Plus, I offer payment plans to make it more manageable. And if the 8-week program truly isn't feasible right now, you can start with a single session for $397.

  • Yes. Many clients I work with struggle with emotional spending, impulse purchases, or spending to cope with stress. In this program, we explore the patterns and triggers behind your spending and create a system that helps you make aligned choices without guilt or restriction. Often, being able to see clearly what is happening with your finances makes a huge difference.

However, sometimes emotional spending and overspending can be the symptom of something deeper. In that case, it would be beneficial for you to work with a therapist or financial therapist. We can talk about whether that might help during coaching or in the consultation call.

  • Yes. Many clients come in feeling discouraged or ashamed about debt. We’ll look at your full financial picture and create a realistic, compassionate plan for paying down debt without feeling deprived.

My goal is to help you accelerate your debt payoff journey so that you can get out of debt faster and save money in interest in the long run.

  • Start with a free 20-minute consultation. We'll talk about your situation, and I'll help you decide if the 8-week program is the right fit. If you're not sure you want to commit to 8 weeks yet, you can also start with a single clarity session (see below) and add on more support later if you want it.

  • Financial advisors typically focus on investing, wealth management, or retirement planning. Financial coaching focuses on everyday money decisions — spending, overspending, budgeting, cash flow, habits, and emotional patterns. Coaches help you build the foundational skills and systems you need before you’re ready for an advisor.

  • Each week includes a 60-minute coaching session, personalized assignments, and supportive email check-ins. We start with clarity (where you are now), then build your personalized money system, and finish with confidence — making sure you feel comfortable managing your plan on your own.

  • I'll walk you through everything you need! After you enroll, I'll send you simple instructions for gathering your financial information. It's easier than you think, and I'm here to support you through the process.

  • Most clients don't need ongoing coaching—they have the system and confidence to continue on their own. But if you want continued support, I offer:

    • Monthly check-ins for $160/month (for ongoing accountability and support)

    • Tune-up sessions for $247 (if you want to come back later to address a specific challenge)
